    Default Dynasty Trade Advice

Hey folks, not sure if I should pull the trigger on this one. 10-team dynasty, 33-man rosters. G A PPP SOG HIT BLK.

Just won last year though it was mainly due to my players getting hot at the right time. Lots of young talent on my roster, some of it still cooking in the oven. Looking to add hits and up my D. Outside of a small handful of guys (E Kane, Wilson, Boychuk, Edler), most of my players put up less than a hit per game.

This is the trade proposed to me:

Send Brayden Point & Zach Werenski
Receive Jacob Trouba, Josh Anderson and a 4th in next year's prospect draft

I felt like Point was a little expendable since I have a hard time seeing him replicate another 90-point season, and I also have McDavid, O'Reilly and R. Johansen among others.

Werenski has a lot of point potential but isn't a huge category stuffer. My best d-men at the moment are him, Edler, Spurgeon, Klefbom and Seabrook.

My rough estimate is a I'm basically losing about 15 goals and 40 points, half of them PPP, for an extra 200+ hits, 70ish blocks and a handful of shots. If enough of my younger guys take another step forward (Mantha, Labanc, Bjorkstrand, Wilson, Hronek) it might make up for the loss.

Any advice is appreciated! Can add more league info. Thanks

I’m going to say D cancel each other out...so u trading 90 point guy for 45-50 guy and Fort round pick which realistically has very little chance to even be in NHL let alone be impactful. Hard NO for me.

I'm going to give it a "h-e-double hockey sticks" no. You should be able to find hits & blocks on the wire.

I'm in a 12 team salary cap league, with 20 active players per night (12 F, 6 D, 2 G) and 75 man rosters which include minors, that aren't required to be prospects or even young players. I can find hits & blocks on the wire in that league.

I really think you are undervaluing Point. IMO he's a 90 pt threat every year. Keep what you have, you'll regret this one.

I would do be inclined to this trade, Anderson is an absolute beast in this set up. Trouba also a category filler. You know best whats easy to find in draft and FA's, in my league any multicat guy is long gone but you can easily find a 55 pt player.

Agree. All categories are not equal in reality....

No way Jose. You can add hits in ways other than giving up a player like Point.

I would want way more for Point. Even if he is expendable which is hard to believe, get a lot more than that.

    McDavid/Necas/ Kucherov/Bjorkstrand/Rust/Nugent Hopkins/Cirelli/Zegras/- Letang/Morrissey/Dahlin - Swayman/Saros/Skinner

    Prospects include:
    McTavish/Clarke/Bordeleau
    Dumais/Korchinski/Hutson

Don't worry I'm not going to say anything more than I have to. If that.
