Keep 3!

Our league rules are whatever round the player was drafted in, is the round he will cost in the upcoming draft. I’m already keeping mackinnon, Seguin, Pasta in Round 1-3. Just need a hand with the rest. I need to pick 3 of the following. Categories are in sig.


Gibson - Round 4
Krug - Round 7
Connor - Round 9
Giordano - Round 10
Reinhart - Round 15
A. Lee - Round 17

Im starting to like Reinhart more and more. A 60-70pt player in round 15 is pretty good. Not much for periferals though Connor only had 66 last year. Reinhart has 65. But he’s significantly cheaper. Not sure!

That is tough, Gibson in round 4 seems too high, unless goalies go early then its a consideration, Krug in Round 7 seems legit so he would be one for me, Connor if he signs isn't bad there being he plays top line in the peg , Gio I expect will drop significantly this year and Lee im not as big as fan

I agree with the sentiment, and if this were a regular keeper with no draft pick implications I would agree. however getting that 55 pt player with the ~200th pick is a great grab. Not to mention Lee throws his body around a fair bit.

Good points about lee. A lot of time your 17th round pick ends up getting dropped at some point. Not very often do later round picks stick around for a full season on your team. Especially in our league, 12 team only 18 rounds. So the free agent pool is usually decent. At least keeping Lee at 17, I’ll have a late round guy who could ride my roster all year long.

Reinhart, Lee, Krug and/or Connor I see as the serious choices.

You didn't mention how many D you're required to start, but I'd keep 1 to not be left chasing them badly. So Krug.
You have 3 forwards who have scored between 47-66 points over the last 3 seasons, when playing full years. One also hits & blocks, and is the cheapest keep. So Lee.
The last spot is Reinhart versus Connor at those price points, and while I like Connor more, I think you can redraft him in round 9 way easier than Reinhart in 15. So Reinhart.

While Lee is only a 50-60 point guy realistically, his value comes from you being in a multi-cat league. Not only is he a LW, which is probably the toughest forward spot to fill, but he's great at G(~30), PPP(~15-20), Shots(~200), Hits(~100), so his only real weakness is assists and pts is good not great. He's a great example of why knowing your league scoring settings really matter, on nhl.com he wasn't even drafted in their mock and ranked 181 after 3 years of finishing inside the top 100

Lee at #17 is too good of value to pass up.
Reinhart at #15 I'd take as well - like was mentioned - close to Connor in value, but saves you a higher draft pick.
I'd rather keep Gio at 10 than Krug at 7. Even if he falters he'll still give you 50+pts and cover hits - blocks better than Krug

I think these 3 really maximize value re-entering your draft.
In a keep 3 - Gio's age means nothing. It's basically a one year pool.

Well it’s a keep 6, but my first 3 keepers are locked down already. These were the final 3. Sounds like Reinhart and Lee are great keeps, it’s between krug and giordano I guess! I’m gonna try and trade gio before the season starts if I can, try and get a good return for him while I still can. Because chances are, even if I keep him this year I probably won’t keep him next year. Where krug I can keep until/if mcavoy takes over PP1.
