In Draft Fantasy (an EPL game I play), odd teams are handled differently. Instead of a bye, an odd team out plays against an "average team" in the league. But I suppose byes will do, too.

yep ; not sure when they officially introduced this feature but you can use the ''league average'' as an opponent .
you can even set it up so all teams in your league play the league average so they either go 0-2 , 2-0 or 1-1 each week .
