Anyways, Colorado is a deep team and this just makes them deeper. Every team should be taking this shot at that cost. IIRC, Nichu graded out decently defensively and just couldn’t buy a goal.

He's low risk and high reward for Colorado and poolies. I grabbed him last year and stashed him in my minors hoping for something like this. The main risk is that he's not allowed to develop, as he's still 2 seasons away from breaking the 400-game mark for large players.

Low risk - no reward signing by Colorado. He’ll be back in the KHL by Christmas.

I'll disagree on a couple things:

-Low risk: There's actually no risk at all. If he's waived/demoted the cap hit is completely off the books. If he has his contract terminated the Avs get their roster spot back. It's kind of like playing the waiver wire in a fantasy league.
-High reward: I just don't see it. He's better than what he showed last year but he's not a top-six forward. At best he's a depth forward who contributes a bit of offense. No fantasy appeal.

    No risk, low reward.
