Crosby, E.Kane for Bobrovsky

His Crosby and E.Kane for my Bobrovsky.
Crosby is my favourite player. However trading Bob leaves me without a keeper goalie.

I hate to pass on Crosby but I don’t feel comfortable going into the draft (drafting 5th) without a goalie.

I think I would do this deal, although it depends a bit on what kind of goalies are going to be available for you in the draft. I'm assuming there are competent options in an 8-team league, and with your league setup 2C in addition to 2 skaters and 2 forwards, having tons of elite centers seems incredibly valuable with faceoffs as a category and so many utility positions. You could then keep:

MacK (1), McDavid (1), Crosby (2), Pettersson (1), Kucherov, Rantanen (1), P. Kane (2), Landeskog (2), Burns (1), and Carlson (2).

W0W! Just if we ignore the fact that 16 goalies were kept, I absolutely am accepting that deal. You are going to have the best team in the league I assume (maybe if we dont cound goalies? ) But the point is that by making that deal you are jsut one goalie away from the ultimate goal. Crosby and Evander are giving you a lot of depth. You could then try to find a goalie gem in the draft or FA. If that doesnt work you could always make a trade later in the season. You have the pieces to get any goalie in the league. Im making that deal.

That's pretty crazy. This makes it tough. I would say take the deal because it seems like a massive over payment and you could acquire a goalie in season via trade but you will likely have to overpay yourself. Could you give up some picks for a Tier 2 goalie?

If you aren't keeping Evander Kane, I wouldn't do that. It's a 1 for 1, and you need the goalie.

Can you even keep Kane in this scenario?? I would not trade Bobrovsky for Crosby in a normal league right now- NM one with goalie scarcity as an issue. Bob is about to hit tier 1 ala vast when he rights the ship in Florida. Your forwards are stacked already. Being able to keep Bobo is borderline unfair.

Kane is solid but if you keep 10 regardless you're looking at a marginal upgrade at best. Id ask if he'd do another position if you're so big into Crosby. I'm guessing you asked him? Generally if you ask for a player the other gm will ask for the moon. I recently asked about mccann and was offered McCann and bit parts (getz in a capleague, Matheson also sucks in cap) for Gustafson and Troy terry- lol!! The point is many times when you ask about a player GM's go for maximum extraction. I'd stay firm- goalies are not available in this format but you'd look at another angle...

i would do it for sure , as you could prob move another player like backstrom and get goalie

I like that. You couldn't trade Backstrom for a g however doesn't work. You're also already dropping quality in Landy Hamilton trouba- those d especially should probably be keepers so adding Evander literally does nothing. I'd insist on keeping Bobo then drafting 2 through 4 will be a lot easier as you've got an elite workhorse in your alpha spot.

Of your keepers (read:sick) the only guy I'm really comfortable moving is Janet. I wouldn't even do that but if you're a Crosby fanboy (fanman?)- that's the way to go. If he's getting pushy maybe add a late pick? Kane is solid though. As mound pointed out there's a lot of sneaky ways to work centers into your active lineup so maybe you can come out ahead if you play up the harder to fill wing eligibility whilst still having places he can play behind Mackinnon and McDavid...
