Pick a side- Bowser or Laine

So I know a lots been said about Laine and I got on the border train early and got him at a pretty decent price. Now a lot of pundits are talking about his potential as a league best goal scorer. The full deal was boeser/brannstrom for Laine/Skinner.

Brannstrom was on my farm. Even as an injury replacement I've still got Morrissey sanheim and Bouchard (EDM)- so even though I'm a huge fan of strom- dealing him was from a position of strength. Adding Skinner likely replaces it Miller or Oshie so it's relatively clear upgrade.

Are we still higher on Laine than border??

I honestly think id rather have Boes/branny...if this was a roto league i think id def want those two...points only id maybe lean to Laine side. Laine seems to may be a one trick pony. And that trick comes and goes too much very inconsistent...maybe he figures it out

Laine over Boeser in terms of talent. At their peaks, Laine bests Boeser but I don't think their production will be far apart. Boeser is not to be underrated as a goalscorer. At the moment, Boeser's value is where it should be. Laine's is much lower than normal. So if you're comparing them in these circumstances, that should give you an indication of what you'd be saying if Boeser had scored 30 last year and Laine 50.. They'e only really close because Laine's stock is down. I still think the gap isn't that huge, but it's a gap for sure. Probably worth filling with a high-end prospect who is a couple years away.

I love this trade for you. Laine isn’t going to be the Laine of last season, I feel like he is going to have a monster season. And Skinner is a great add in any league that isn’t a salary cap league. Well done.

straight up points comparison - I think Boeser will start to be the better point producer. If it were a 1-1 deal without goal bonus' I'd want Boeser
Add in Skinner for Brannstrom and it easily becomes Laine/Skinner side for me

Laine has red flags all over him, couldn't gel with anybody on the Jets last season, and dragged down every line he played on with awful play. The team hasn't changed up front so his situation isn't going to change either. Fun time is over and he's being asked to contribute more than just shooting from the circle and he's been unable or unwilling to buckle down and do what Maurice and the Jets vets are expecting of him.

He's bound to do better than he did last year if he can just be a little more consistent but I'm not expecting any drastic changes. Laine has a lot of growing to do and I'm wondering if the Jets organization is the one to nourish him properly.

This is a tough trade but I feel like I would have to go with the Laine/Skinner side!!
