League in sig. Start 3/3/3/5/2 daily

Been back and forth with another owner and we're both sitting on the deal for now. Here it is:

Bergeron, Reilly, Rittich (p), Buchnevich (p)
    for
    Larkin, Theodore, Grubby, Meier

I'm looking to retool for a year and build some younger assets. He's got a strong team and should contend.

His keepers are currently: (you can keep max 2 goalies)
Ovechkin, Draisatl, Bobrovsky, Huberdeau, Carlson, T. Bertuzzi (p), Grubby, Theodore (p), Larkin, Meier (p)

    Mine are currently:
Benn, Monahan, Zibs, Karlsson, Couture, Saros (p), Svechnikov (p), Rittich (p), Reilly, Bergeron

Which side would you prefer? Is it a win-win? He's unsure if Buch is an upgrade on Theodre as his last prospect keeper. Thoughts on that?

I like this deal for you.
Larkin & Meier are really great returns... I expect Rielly to drop a few points and Theodore will only improve. So that gap should decrease.
Grub - Rittich are close, but the starters gig is Grubs to lose, whereas Rittich is more a 1B with shorter leash

I think we'll start to see a quick decline on Bergeron in the next year or two. injury history is going to take a toll.

I don't see Buch as an upgrade on his final keeper over Theodore, but one could make the argument that he's improving his other keepers THIS season elsewhere.

Love the trade for you - losing Rielly hurts but he's a sell high and Barrie will eat into his points for sure (Rielly's the better d-man and will get more defensive assignments than Barrie...who IMO is more geared to creating offense).

Buch is not an upgrade on Theodore but he doesn't have to know that

I had to think for 8 seconds to realize that Larkin, Theodore, Grubby, Meier is the better side. Larking is one of the young stars at C, Thoedore at leas has the potential to be close to what Morgan is right now, Grubby over Rittich everyday and Meier>>Buchnevich.

I think it's close enough taht it can depend on where you are in contending rebuilding, and I can see it for him, as well as for you. Seems like a decent move for both - he gets more now impact, you get more future impact.

This was my hope, but I think that he's come around to thinking this trade ain't going to give him enough of a short term edge to make up for the loss of Larkin and Meier. The additional problem is that Meier is an ideal prospect keeper for someone contending, as he's going to really contribute this year.

My expectation is we'll settle on Rittich and Bergeron for Larkin and Theodore. This way he goes from: keeping Larkin, Theodore, Grubby to Bergeron, Rittich, Tank (who was the odd man out for him). A clear short term upgrade imo, and worth the loss of Larkin. (Rittich replaces Theodore as a prospect keeper, which bumps Grubby (max 2 goalies), and allows another vet to be kept (Tank)).
