Default Keep Grubby or Lehner? (Will rep)

I have tentatively set my keepers in bold in my signature but am wondering if I should consider one of the goalies as this year we are moving to four goalie starts per week increasing the value of goalies as more are likely to be kept and more teams are likely to carry three through the season...thoughts?

    Who would I drop?

I am also torn on dropping Dubois especially if he retains LW eligibility..

I'd stick with not keeping the goalies only because goalies are so variable and the two you have have almost no history of having consistent, top-dog status. Grubauer and Lehner have their arguments, but if both of them completely flamed out next season, it wouldn't be a surprise.

I'd be tempted to keep Dubois over Byfuglien if only because Byfuglien is at the stage in his career where it seems like injury and age could end his value. If you're contending, then I'd keep Byfuglien. If not, then I might consider going with DuBois, especially in your scoring system.

12 team H2H is tough when goalies are lame... especially in today's NHL where most teams are some sort of tandem now. I personally think we are in for a heck of a year from Grubauer. If I were you, I'd figure out a way to keep him. Lehner is going to have some issues with his new blueline, so for the sake of your post title, I'm 100% in the Grubby camp due to team around him and competition in nets.

The trick though is justifying not keeping Weber, Buffy or Meier in these settings... the others are untouchable for you. Well almost - Kane is a King in these settings when healthy. But with back to back seasons of 78 and 75 gp... he's due to have 2, possible 3 appendages fall off this season.

Between Kane and the two wisemen who will get hurt for a stretch (both of them), that's a lot to worry about except that your league has 3IR spots!

So tough, but gun to head, in your shoes, it may be between Meier and Grubauer for me (if I'm strictly focused on winning this year).

I would keep Grubbie too. he's set for 50-55 games if he doesn't get hurt. Should be pretty solid.
I'm not hating on Lehner but metal strength is really important for goalies so I would avoid him for now. even though i think he's be fine next season with the hawks.

I'm weary about Grubauer's play holding up over a full season. I like Lehner going into next season on a 1-year prove it contract after putting up outstanding numbers last season.

I am firm in the camp of not putting too much into goalies in H2H leagues as I think they are too volatile.

I think I am in the minority when I say I'd rather have Buff than Weber. But I think I'd still rather have Weber over Grubauer.

what type of goalies are usually available in your draft that go unprotected ? I'll assume those that were exposed can be taken in your draft at any point so you can reload the G position
