what are we thinking with Makar and Hughes who would you rather and are either worth drafting in the first round?

Inaugural draft? No way do you draft either in the first round.
As for Makar vs. Hughes, use the search tool. There are already several such threads. If memory serves correct, the general consensus seems to be 60/40 in favour of Makar (usually due to exposure to MacKinnon/Rantanen and/or because we have a larger sample size from him compared to Hughes).

Not an inaugural draft. 3rd year. Thanks for your input though. I like Makar but I’m not so sure he’s going to get the power play time with girard being there. Vancouver on the other hand doesn’t have many options other than Hughes to run the pp

Keep 6 12 team league I doubt I'd be taking either in the first round unless I'm in a rebuild. That said, I'm with the flip a coin crowd. Take whichever one costs the least to acquire. I think they both have a couple hurdles in front of them: Makar has more competition, but Hughes has Edler in front of him who just had a bounce-back season. Guessing both of their leashes are gonna be fairly short, but Edler is likely going to be given a solid shot at PP1.

Thinking about to draft him in the 1st round of our upcoming draft!
22keepers...we have to drop only 3 players...but 1 of our top 5 and 1 of the top 10
So there are guys like Landeskog-Atkinson-Wheeler-Bergeron-Trouba-Radulov-Giroux available
But because i won the league last season i have #10 in the first round!

Makar is the more complete D, so if your league counts any peripherals, Makar is the correct choice.

12 teams x 6 keepers means the first round will kick off at pick 72-83 range. Still a little early for those guys but it is a keeper league so it isn’t completely crazy. The problem is that even if you draft one of those guys in the first round, would they crack your keepers for next season? That isn’t a lock.
And I’d take Makar of the two.
