I do really like Myers, but I think the depth in Philadelphia is going to prevent him from making much of an impact until next season. He's probably ready to step into a bottom-pair role and excel at the NHL level, but when the team acquired Niskanen and Braun (both RHD like Myers) that hurt his chances of seeing a lot of minutes. They've got Ghost, Provorov, Sanheim (often played right side), Hagg, and Morin as LH shots. It does help that there are really only two RH shot D-men ahead of him on the depth chart, but the best case scenario for him is a third pairing role in rotation with Braun, likely partnered with one of Hagg/Morin. If Vigneault chooses to run with Ghost/Prov together, the pairs could look like:

    Ghost-Provorov
    Sanheim-Niskanen
    Hagg/Morin-Braun/Myers

There should be a lot of different combinations with the bottom-pair guys, and because of that I think Myers may need a bit more time to really establish his value -- even in multi-cat leagues.

I mean, isn't that the true definition of a sleeper? Someone who gets passed over time and time again for other players?

Late round home run swing belongs to...

    Anthony DeAngelo

if he could put his poop in a group for a full season he'll be the PP1-QB & put himself in 50pt territory.
he just has to properly group his poop
This might be difficult with Trouba's poop and Fox's poop getting all mixed in.

Fox hasn't shown he's NHL ready yet... and I don't think Trouba's as creative as DeAngelo. but these are two more reasons he's the ultimate sleeper.

NYR aren't giving Trouba 8M per season and not putting him on PP1. He's clearly proven that he can thrive in a PP1 role based on what he did in Winnipeg (18 PPP with an avg. of 2:01 of PP time). This is Trouba's PP and I don't see anyone taking that spot from him.

    Bingo
    H2H 14 team, 19-man roster, limited keeper (draft round matters). G / A / P / PPP / PIM / FW / BS // W / SV / GAA. My greatest wish: that Yahoo would offer DEF as a category.

Don't know if he was mentioned but Kahun was playing with Crosby in training camp, so if he sticks there all season, it could be a very successful year for him

There must be some love for Kostin. Big body with skill and having a big pre season. Blues are deep but with Maroon gone there is a spot for someone with said attributes.

I think it's a year too soon to have Kostin expectations.
One thing Kostin has going against him... waiver exemption.

    After last nights Leafs-Sens game

    Connor Brown

He saw a 5min TOI bump over last year & is on a line with Tkachuk & C. White.
2:41PPTOI as well as lots of PK - some hidden value in SHP laden in that

Entering 4th season with prime deployment - a bump from 30pts to 55 given these conditions isn't really a stretch
