Default Cheap Fantasy options for 2019-20

12 Team Salary Cap, Keep 10 league
    G/A (1) STP (1) SOG (0.1) PIM (0.2) Hits (0.1)

With my 10 expected keepers, I’ll have an average just shy of $2M per player at the draft. Any suggestions of up and coming or underrated players below $2M to target this year?

    Thanks!!

How deep do you need us to dig?

Josh Anderson 2.1M is deep, but is it too deep?

12 teams x 21 players... with 10 keepers, you'd need to draft 11 players each? Ouch.

Jared McCann 1.25M in Pittsburgh, potentially a winger on the top-6 with Crosby and/or Malkin
Tyler Bertuzzi 1.5M, potential to break out in Detroit this year, and he'll provide in most categories.
Really like Matt Grzelcyk that I own myself in my salary league keeper. Potential for PP2 in Boston. At 1.4M.

Bjorkstrand at 2.5M could also break out with all the opportunities in Columbus for more ice time.

A bit shallower, but these guys might be protected :

Ryan Pulock at 2.65M. Make room for him if he's available.
Could also stretch to Darnell Nurse at 3.2M if not protected.

In the dollar bin cart :

Dominik Kahun in PIT also has a shot at some top-6 minutes
Roslovic and Thomas in WIN and STL could finally crack better ice time, follow closely what happens with the Jets' RFA and Marroon's situation with the Blues.
Dobber seems to like the floor on Roope Hintz in Dallas.

More obvious guys that may not have been protected :
    DeBrusk in BOS
    Girard in COL

And then the top prospects who'll get a shot at playing this year : both Hughes, Kakko, Makar

    Hope it helps.

Will be glad to revisit if you come up with a list of potential players and need to sort it out.

    Thank you for the reply.

My list is fairly similar to yours. I didn’t have McCann and Grzelcyk on mine but will add them.
I also had Crouse (lots of peripherals especially hits), Hronek (could see PP1 time this year in Detroit) and Greenway (if he manages to lock in a top 6 role in Min).

I’ll definitely have to work some magic at the draft but feel that with my keepers (see bolded players in sig), I should have a shot at the title (if health is on my side).

With an average of 2 million per player, I'd look at everyone up to 3 million, maybe 3.5 as being plausible. Nobody's mentioned Labanc yet, and he's a gem if not taken yet, but likely just cheap for this year.

Yeah, well, I went with less obvious picks.

I mean.. your best pick is DeBrincat is for some crazy reasons he's not protected. I guessed Labanc would be one of the 120 protected players with the salary/upside he has for this season!

But please, if he's there, grab Labanc!
