Where does he slot in? And does this kill any value Sergachev might have had heading into next season?

They tried getting him back when he was a FA. This is a good landing spot for him. He wont need to be relied on to be "the guy".

Not the best spot for max points, but I expect him to have more value for next summer's FA market than he had this past week.

As a Bolts fan I wouldn't be pleased if he gets 1st line minutes alongside Hedman, throwing Serge to the 3rd line again, but let's see.

I have no idea how their D pairs shake out, but the rumblings are that Sergachev will move into the top-four, possibly another player shifting to his off side to accommodate.

Yeah it’s all about where you file a state income tax return. He would a complete idiot to not become a FLA resident for just that reason.

Fantasy take on the Shattenkirk signing:
    https://dobberhockey.com/hockey-home...ns-with-tampa/

Something I'll add to this thread: McDonagh's power-play time was limited last season. Now it could be down to virtually nil. He was a 46-point player last season.

McDonagh is probably a 35-point defenseman just by virtue of the strength of playing in the top-four on Tampa. He has decent peripherals so he still has value in a lot of leagues. He's sort of like a poor man's Pietrangelo at this point. If Shattenkirk's signing diminishes Sergachev a little bit at even strength, I would say this could be a good opportunity to buy low on Sergachev.

Not fully, no. The short, easy answer is that he'll get to pay taxes on a pro-rated portion based on residency dates, if he lives in Florida. However, some cities & states have taxes based on work location, and the most notorious city for that is NYC. If he lived in NYC, he gets the benefit of not living there for the city income taxes for this upcoming season's checks.

Tampa just loves to collect old rangers yeah ?
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
