each category has a point value - goals 2pt assists 1pt hits .2 blocks .2 etc... all adds up to a total point score each week.

Based on scoring last year, which was a down year for Laine, and a rookie year for Hart, it was close. I'd be willing to do the deal hoping for more from both of those guys, and gaining the positional flexibility of Laine, but it's close enough to go either way.

You are taking on more risk if you do this deal.
Holding onto Andersen and Tkachuk is the way to go!

+1 Exactly that. Tkachuk finnished the year with 77 points. I can imagine that he wont reach 77 again actually
while Laine had his worst season of his young career but still had 3.6 points per game to Tkachuk 4.1!
In a keeper I would also take Hart over Andersen who is 10 years younger. Its not a win now mentality BUT if some things(not all) some things go right you could be a contender as soon as this upcoming season. Also for years to come. Im smashing that accept button.

As down as I am on Laine I still see him bouncing back enough to close the gap with Tkachuk in your setup, if not out-produce him entirely since I'm expecting some regression from Tkachuk also. It could end up close between those two but I'd expect Tkachuk to me more consistent as Laine's streakiness can win you one week (or month) and sink you the next. I have to lean Tkachuk for the consistency in H2H even if his pts/game averages out a little less than Laine at the end.

As for the goalies they are voodoo especially young yet-unproven ones. Hart is a top tier goalie prospect and should have a great career but Andersen is a more known quantity getting tons of starts on a solid team. It's less of a risk to keep Andersen than it is to hope that Hart can sustain solid play for an entire season (we haven't seen him do that yet) and that Philly will be a better team this season. Hart is tempting but I'd feel better about Andy here.

I'd keep what you have personally.

Man it is tough to pass up on Laine here and I’d expect his value to go up this season but I think I’d pass in this trade. It’s really close though, wouldn’t blame you for making this deal.
