RyJo for Gustafsson

Hey,

In my signature salary cap league, I am still trying to move RyJo and his high contract out of my team... I have offered several GMs my RyJo and Strome for one of Larkin, Huberdeau, Teravainen or Guentzel but nothing has been accepted yet...

One GM is offering his Erik Gustafsson though and this would help me in adding a 2nd D to the players I am keeping (I have been keeping 1 D, namely Josi for many years and it looks like it did not serve me well since I have not had any top 5 in the past 4-5 years...).

Would you do the trade, RyJo for Gustaf?

I'd do that in a heartbeat. Their scoring last season was almost identical, and even if Gustaffsson regresses a bit, Johansen just isn't worth $8m for ~60 points, and Gustaffsson is a crazy bargain next season. If he was a bit more of a scorer maybe, but he hasn't put up 20 goals since his CBJ days.

Yeah but we don't know how long ago he proposed that Larkin offer and how long ago that Gustaffson offer has been proposed to him Maybe both offers happened yesterday. If so, he still has that little window to wait for the Larkin offer but not too long to miss on the Gustaffson one

I like the first option.

Kessel > Johansen -- same cost, take the goal scorer with higher offensive upside
Gustafsson > Strome -- production should be similar, take the cheap D
