Twitter reports have that the Rangers bought out Kevin Shattenkirk today.

He had a 10 team no-trade list, I would expect Ottawa to be on it.

He was also owed $10.6mill over the next two seasons and like Eric said, the Sens only like the players when insurance is covering the bill.

To be fair, hes really not that great of an actual Dman. Good fantasy Dman at one point but as far as his actual play goes, hes never really been much more than a decent 3/4 at best who was good on the PP. Hes a RHD PP guy. He surely wasn't worth the money the Rangers gave him.

I can see someone taking a shot at him for $3-4M on a 2 yr deal.
