TB has McEhlhinny signed for 2yrs at 1.3 - Domingue at 1.1 for one and now taking on Condon with a dead ('buried') hit of 1.3m - screams more movement. TB isn't a team that really can be wasting cap space on AHL goalies. Which is where Domingue & Condon are bound.

I wouldn't be surprised if Condon gets flipped for more than a 5th rounder.

The NHL minimim salary is $700k, so teams get $1.075 in cap relief for AHL demotions. Meaning Condon and Domingue cost a combined $250k in cap space when demoted. Every dollar matters, but even Tampa can probably afford to waste $250k of cap space on AHL goalies. Another move may be coming, but it doesn't have to come.

Ottawa though man. Non-zero chance those picks are within 10 slots of each other. ~$66 Mil in cap hit and $50 mil in actual salary expenditure assuming Callahan, Gaborik, and MacArthur are all fully insured.

I mean this is an insanely good and needed deal for Tampa. I thought maybe the Vas signing could open up an offer sheet for Point but now I'm convinced he'll sign on yet another bargain. Well done Tampa Bay.
