Raanta v. Rittich

1Currently have a goaltending stable of Hotlby, Raanta, Hutton and Talbot. Have the option to swap Raanta for Riitch via trade. Have been somewhat patiently waiting for Raanta to pull it all together, but is this worth it to consolidate the CGY net?

Holtby, Rittich, Talbot & Hutton, sounds like a law firm.

I think I prefer Raanta slightly in a vacuum, but there's a lot of risk there especially after Kuemper blew the doors off last season. I'd probably make this swap if you think you are contending, as the security of locking down the Calgary crease should be really valuable in the short-term. I'm not entirely sold on Rittich, but since you already have Talbot you've got insurance against the biggest risk.

Yeah, there's definitely a risk with each of these guys. But with Rittich that risk is seriously mitigated by the fact that OP already owns Talbot.

I would rather have the Rittich risk owning his handcuff than Raanta without Kuemper.

Calgary will be better than Arizona...

owning all Cgy starts - which it should be noted often have a top three best OFF-NIGHT schedule in the NHL

is the right choice.
