I feel like in this format, you're choosing the team as much as you are the goalie. Better team = more wins, fewer GA, more SHO...So for me, I feel like Carolina should be a better overall team than Arizona.

But there is the factor that Arizona plays in the pacific division.

But I feel like Keumper is a (slightly) bigger threat to Raanta than Reimer is to Mrazek.

Put a gun to my head, and I'm going with Mrazek

I also go with Mrazek in a 1 year timeframe for the same reasons as above: Keumper played extremely well last year and provides more of a 1a/1b threat, and Raanta missed almost a whole season. He basically has 1 year experience as a starter.

1-year I'm going Mrazek still. Gotta see a healthy season from Raanta before I can be confident in him again.

Based on the rankings, Mrazek(154th) and Raanta(106), I prefer having Mrazek. I'm not ready to invest a top 100 pick in Raanta.

I'm not overly high on either guy, but I'd want Mrazek simply because he has the better team in front of him, especially the D.

Going against the grain here, but give me Raanta. I believe he is the better goalie between the two (when healthy). The canes have shown a willingness to play whoever is hot a lot more than arizona has to this point. Mrazek lost the starter's role for a lot of the season to McBackup, and Riemer should be a bigger threat than McBackup. Raanta may lose some games to Kuempher, but I think less.

Raanta is definitely the more talented goaltender. He's consistently produced elite results ... when he's been in the lineup. Health is a huge concern, and that's really what we're betting on here. I'm pretty confident that everyone who prefers Mrazek here is doing so because Raanta can't be trusted to stay healthy enough to exceed Mrazek's modest -- but likely reliable -- production with Carolina. If we were sure Raanta would play a full season, he might be closer to a top-10 goalie than a bubble guy.
