Who would you rather

In a Dynasty leauge who would you rather have as your prospect Ukko-Luukkonen or Michael Dipietro ?

DiPietro. Even with the presence of other goalies in the VAN system, his talent is sufficient enough that I'll stick with the talent over the present-tense picture of potential opportunity. Also, hip surgery makes me nervous.

I'd probably say Dipietro but both are good goalie prospects. Not great ones, but good ones so it's not easy to differentiate between them.

It’s pretty close but i prefer Luukkonen.

I'm trying to figure out which one of these guys I should be targeting in my upcoming prospect draft for the dynasty in my signature. It's kind of a weird wrinkle in our league where prospects can only be added to our farm rosters during the draft, so this means that players slip through the cracks and there are often very valuable prospects from previous drafts available.

I think DiPietro might be the slightly more talented guy, but it's very close and Luukkonen arguably has a clearer path to the starter's crease with Buffalo. Realistically, these guys are at least a couple years out from providing anything resembling fantasy value, so as always with goalies there's an element of a crap shoot to all this. But in close situations like this, I typically opt for the guy with the better organizational path to NHL opportunities. It's kind of weird saying that when DiPietro is the one who has already appeared in the NHL, but that was a very special circumstance.

Luukkonen for me, but it's close. Both guys had really great seasons highlighted by strong league play and international success. Tough call.


P.S. Not to hijack the thread, but how would you guys rank Alex Nedeljkovic, Cayden Primeau, Kaapo Kahkonen, Colton Point, Connor Ingram, and Veini Vehvilainen compared to these two goalies?
