If he is there (and on an NHL team) then I would take Gusev if you are competing to win as he will likely outpoint anyone from the 2019 draft for at least 3-4 years (depending on where Vegas trades him).

But if he is off the table I would take Turcotte for long-term upside (plus only FOW player), but for slightly more immediate help than waiting on Turcotte I would take Batherson ahead of Comtois

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league

In that setup I'd go with Comtois who will help you pretty much across the board.

I agree if I'm competing it's hard to resist Gusev (assuming he signs) and the prospect of immediate top-six production. If you're just looking long-term and don't mind the wait time, I'd definitely go with Turcotte. He's going to be really good with these categories, and should be a one and done type college player. He will be in the NHL 2020-21 and should be making an impact 21-22. He's going to be very, very good.

I would take Turcotte over Gusev. I have Gusev #4, but the risk is higher with him.

Here's a question for those with more in depth CA knowledge than I have.

Now that he signed his first contract and burnt the ELC year.

If he were to go back to the KHL for one more season... would Vegas still hold his rights entering the 20/21 season? or would this make him a UFA?

If he can bolt back to the KHL and then become a UFA.... they really need to trade him and get what they can.

I think he becomes a UFA next year if Vegas doesnt sign him.

UFA -- and KHL is instituting a salary cap soon, so there's some incentive for him to cash in one more year then come back to the NHL as a UFA. I wouldn't draft him over Turcotte unless he actually signs somewhere.
