Sam Bennett going forward
Hey guys I own Sam Bennett in one of my keeper leagues. Is it time to move on from him or is there still a glimmer of hope that he can become a very useful player?

Would need more info about your league.
How many teams? What is your setup (points only? Multicat and I'd so, what categories? H2H or points type of league? What's your full roster look like? Salary cap?). Those types of details are important tug o give an educated guess.

Points only keeper. 12 Teams. No pos requirements. 18 skaters / 3 goalies (2 count for points.) G/A = 1 point each (includes goalies) Goalies = 1.5 for W / 4.5 for SO. Minors - 4 year protection. Prospects added during their draft year only. Undrafted = waivers.

This guy is a bust. Don't expect 60-70 points season from him. In a points only league hes not worth owning. If you are in like a 16teams multi-cat league theres a value for him.Originally Posted by Mike's Lemons

I agree somewhat with your post. In points only formats he isn't great but a lot depends on the size and depth of the league. Calling him a bust is someplace I'm not willing to go unless you expect everyone drafted in the top 10 to be 70pt guys. I don't see him getting to that level. He does have value in multicat leagues.

I see him as still having the potential to be a premium multi-cat guy who scores 50-55 points at his peak, as shown by his playoff performance. However at this point I'd pencil him in for right around 30 points with 40 point upside in the short-term.

After the Labanc signing, I can't see how he can possibly make more than a milly per. 2 years at 2 million.

any one else fine the title - Bennett going forward comical?
Treading water, going backward might be more accurate.
If he hits 40pts this year, it'll be a huge victory for him moving forward.
