Carter Hutton?

So im in a league where goaltending is SUPER important its a 14 team league and you can go with 3 goalie / 6 D or 2G 7D ( most do 3G) its a 16 cats weekly h2h. goalie stats are S W S% Gaa So, I currently only own 1 starter (Price) I also have in the minors Blackwood and Brossoit which Ill probably have to roll with. I might be able to acquire Hutton, is he getting 55+ starts? the atlantic is stacked as hell I dont see buffalo doing good. theres a few options on the Re-entry Draft but I do not own a top pick. I would have to pay alot to get to 3rd overall ( 1 and 2 are not attainable) My offense is Top notch. whats my play ? I was asked Stamkos + guenztle + 15th overall pick for binnington which gives you an idea of goalie worth, also same league vasilevsky was traded for seth jones sam steel erik branstrom and kuemper. disreguard my sig thats a whole different league.

Seems like the return for Vasilevskiy is nowhere close to the other GM's ask from you for Binnington ... I definitely wouldn't pay anywhere close to Stamkos + Guentzel for Binnington.

Hutton might be worth acquiring if the cost is cheap. I don't think he's really the long-term option for Buffalo, as they've got Ullmark around and someone like Luukkonen down the road. I certainly wouldn't want to give up more reliable assets for a short-term option in net that could end up turning very little value. Unless he's very cheap, I would just roll with Price-Blackwood-Brossoit and try to acquire emerging options off the wire / look to draft guys like Kochetkov + Konovalov who are much closer to potential NHL production.

If the Vasilevskiy trade is a fair representative, you should be able to get Hutton cheap enough that he could get 30 starts and be worth it, honestly. Does S mean starts or saves? I'm guessing the former.

I can get either markstrom or koskinen. Are they good or awful option. The price is 2 draft picks and vilardi

I think Buffalo under Kreuger is going to be a much better team. They've added some good pieces this off-season as well. I think Hutton and Ullmark will share time and Ralph will roll the hot hand as required but I still like him more than Brossoit and Blackwood.

I like Markstrom the best out of the names you've listed. He's the only clear #1 to me...

Hutton, Koskinen and Georgiev have much stronger competition, IMO.

I agree Markstrom would be the right option... I just don't agree his D is a whole lot better.

The wild card is Q. Hughes and what he can do to puck possession in Van's zone.

It depends on the cost, but if you can acquire Hutton cheaply to complement Ullmark then that would be a good thing. I feel like Buffalo is definitely on the rise, and their defense is starting to look pretty solid with Dahlin, Ristolainen, Montour, Miller, Jokiharju, etc. I think the future there is quite bright.

A career AHLer/backup who had a fluke half-season at age 31 and will at best be a 1A on a team that still hasn't proven that it can be more than a bottom-feeder? Stay away from Hutton.

If I had to rank all 31 (expected) starters/1As, Markstrom, Hutton and Koskinen would all be in my bottom 5... I agree with others that Markstrom is probably the least bad option.

(btw, the other two in my bottom 5 are Craig Anderson and Jimmy Howard)
