Hey all, league in sig.

Got this trade offer, wondering what everyone thinks?..in the middle of a rebuild so i'm looking to acquire picks, prospects, and younger players mostly.

Kadri, Schultz, Niku
for
HIS:
Bjorkstrand, Vilardi, 2020 2nd

I'm gonna see about getting a different prospect (other guys hes got who im interested in are fox, both robertsons, brink, robert thomas) as i've read recently that there's uncertainty as to the future of Vilardi due to his back injurie(s). What do y'all think? Is this fair? Or should I try to get more?

If he swaps Robert Thomas in for Vilardi, then I think you're in the right neighborhood for value. Kadri is going to look very good in Colorado, as he's probably got the inside track on a PP1 role with MacK, Rantanen, Landeskog, and Girard/Makar. I definitely wouldn't want to sell him short before he blows up for a really nice season.

I would try countering with:

I don’t like the initial offer for you but if you can swap Valardi for Fox and Thomas as mentioned above than it’s a trade I would make considering you are in rebuild mode.

If he swaps Robert Thomas in for Vilardi, then I think you're in the right neighborhood for value. Yeah mash do that deal but don't get your hopes up... that's a bad trade for the other guy... I certainly wouldnt be doing it

If he's not willing to add Thomas at the very least, it keep what you have. If you can get Fox as well, then bonus.

Niku is going to be a sneaky good player for the Jets. After Morrissey, the don't have much worth talking about on the left side.

Agree with others and thought the same when I saw Thomas. Id do it for Bjork, Thomas and the pick.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've since counterred with the kadri, schultz, niku for bjork, thomas and fox. I don't expect him to be willing to give up Fox as he's got 2 d prospects out of 15 and he's expressed to me he's not looking to deal from a position of weakness. I feel a lot better however, about a bjork-thomas-pick return than bjork-vilardi-pick one.

The other guy proposed you the offer right? If thats the case apparently he wants to make that deal. Kadri is possibly his target so you can threaten him in a way that you are not making this deal at all if he doesn't agree to replace Thomas with Vilardi( who like you already said is risk because of his injuries)
