Is this guy the real deal? I honestly have no idea about him to be honest, I’ve got a chance to get him for Sergachev and a 1st (top 8 2020 prob). Given I need another forward and need to get rid of a defender, it looks good? Team in sig

He's absolutely the real deal, and he's a proven scorer with elite shooting talent attached at the hip to Crosby. Pretty valuable spot to be in for a gifted goal scorer, and easily Crosby's most gifted linemate since Hossa. His underlying numbers are really solid, and he's been able to produce at a really high level without a lot of PP1 time. There's definitely some room for improvement if he can solidify a spot with the top unit, which is likely with Kessel moving to Arizona.

35-35 seems like the floor to me, with a considerably higher ceiling. 90 points wouldn't completely shock me, but I would guess something closer to 40-40 with solid peripherals to boot.

Worth giving up Serg and a 1st for? Thanks for your reply as always!

If it's a potential lottery pick, I'd have to think about that one for a bit. The top end of the 2020 draft looks tremendous, and I would hate to see you lose out on Lafreniere or Byfield because you made this deal. I really, really like Guentzel but those two guys should be ridiculous in multi-cat fantasy leagues - and Sergachev is no slouch in his own right. This is a tough one.

If you're confident it won't be a top-3 pick in 2020 I would probably pull the trigger.
