I hate to include two players from a single team, but my top 5 most increased production (points) would be:

Mantha, Hischier, Girard, Keller, and Hinostroza.

Let's also add Josh Anderson to that list. I think these guys will see the biggest jump in points (as a % of their production). Honorable mentions to Robin Lehner and Tyson Barrie, as both guys are kinda being seen as diminished assets on their new teams after free-agency. I'm confident both will return similar value to their 2018-19 production, and as a hot take I think Barrie at least ends up getting close to 50% of the PP1 minutes with Toronto. Call it a hunch that Barrie will be utilized to his strengths, which may work against Rielly who is the more talented option defensively.

Many of these guys will improve, not necessarily because it’s a contract year but because they are still progressing. Guys like Pulock, Keller, Patrick, etc might boom, but it’ll be their situations (TOI or linemates) that make the difference.

The guys I like for big years that aren’t perhaps as obvious:

Toffoli - seems he’s been snakebitten, so either he bounces back with the incentive or he withers under the pressure.

Hoffman seems like a guy that excels with extrinsic motivation. Last year was big after the Karlsson controversy. This year could be more of the same with contract coming.

Faulk could have a killer season and be the most-sought after (and eventually disappointing) UFA Dman this summer.

Holtby seems like a pressure guy. Big year potential.

And Kreider’s situation improves and he could be motivated for a big ticket.

My logic behind is that I count on my prediction which is that Spurgeon will get traded to a team where he can play in the first PP unit. Minnesota situation is not great. They already started to this road by trading Nino and Granlund. I believe that in the expansion draft they will have difficulty protecting Dumba Brodin and Spurgeon and they will try to trade him before losing him for nothing. Also the Wild in my eyes will be the worst team in the Central Division. If a trade happens I bet it will be early in the season trade not a deadline one...
...kind of a long shot for a ''big jump'' but its possible I think

Is Alex Semin on that list???

Granlund - seems like a player that will this year. Nashville has two good centres so he should always be playing with someone good.

Fabbri - injuries have been a hindrance to his career... if he can stay healthy he could take a huge step forward!

Alex Galchenyuk - Seems like a move to Pitts and being in a contract year could be big for him.

Namestnikov - because its a Russian thing to do in a contract year, and he has shown steaks of higher levels.
