Default Ryan Ellis bump in production?

Is it safe to expect a bump in production and deployment for Ryan Ellis this season with Subban out of the picture?

Obviously he will never displace Josi on PP1... but can he push for 50 pts? (he had 41 last season)

Just thinking he may be a player a little under the radar that might be a good idea to invest in now before he takes another step

He should be on the top pair at EV with Josi, and the first D on PP2, so yes, I think he's a good bet to get close to 50 points. Especially with the addition of Duchene giving the Preds a little more scoring depth at EV.

At the very least he'll be a much safer option to continue getting 40+ on a yearly basis.

I definitely see a slight bump in production, though I don't know if 50 is possible...it will be close though. With Subban gone, Ellis will get more PP opportunity. Also, with the addition of Duchene and a full year with Granlund, maybe Nashville might actually score more goals collectively, which in theory could elevate Ellis' numbers a bit.

I'm certainly targeting Ellis in my leagues.

If it is for the league in your sig. it all depends what round you plan on or think you can draft him at. He’ll have a boost in production but I wouldn’t reach too far for him.

Thinking the same thing. Like Eskimo said, adding a player liek Duchene can only help him. He is a sleeper pick in my eyes.
