Opportunity is always the first thing I consider with dmen and long term potential. I think the top 2 are somewhat interchangeable. Sandin should have the most immediate opportunity after that with the Leafs having nearly their entire defense to sign past next season. The last 2 don't have any immediate foreseeable chances while the other 2 in the middle require some guess work as to when they might get a shot at serious minutes but the possibility is there at least.

Fox could be the biggest surprise early though--I think he cracks the Rags and could end up the main PPQB by January. I think he has 50-55 points written all over him within the next 2-3 years.

1) Boqvist- He just had a crazy good prospect camp for the Hawks. His defense has greatly improved this year and he answered the questioned many had for him when he was drafted. Still 18. I didn't respond to this initially since I wanted to trade for him first. Just traded Barrett for Boqvist.

I probably like this list the most - with the gaps as I don't see Fabbro on the same offensive level as any of the others.
Only change - I would bump Sandin up with Smith and ahead of Fox
