    Default Eichel offer

Team in sig. I have a lot of C as you can see.

My Eichel, and 4 x 14 round picks (I'm at 8 picks in the first 6 rounds and then the remaining in rounds 11-15)

for: #5oa main draft, #4oa rookie draft, Brady Tkachuk (rookie eligible i.e. I can hold him over this off season / doesn't take one of my 10 keeper spots), 6 round, 7 round, 8 round pick

The premise of the offer intrigues me. I finished 2nd last season and should compete for a top 3 (money) spot again this year. Strengthening my draft would really help though. #5oa main draft is a solid player (maybe someone like Mike Hoffman), but not really a keeper. I would have Tkachuk to call up immediately post draft so he basically acts as a bonus keeper this season. #4oa would reasonably be Turcotte (I've spoken to the #3oa guy and I don't think Turcotte is on his radar / I could probably flip from #4 to #3 cheaply), and lastly I could then keep Forsberg or Voracek in place of Eichel.

That all being said, I'm a big fan of Eichel. While I feel like it could help me this season, I likely would regret it the following year as Tkachuk would have to have a monster season to become a keeper. I guess it depends how good Turcotte could become.

I could maybe add in Forsberg and get Benn back in addition to the picks/Tkachuk. Or probably another rookie or two (some of his rookies of interest...Ty Smith, Francouz, Bouchard, Veleno, Vesalainen, Gustavsson).
    11 teams, 10 keepers (1 D minimum) + 40 rookies <100gp (can move up/down to rookie roster up to 25gp), points only (1pt g/a, 2pt win, 3pt SO)
    4C/4LW/4RW/6D/2G + 6 bench

C: Seguin (RW), Bergeron, Aho, Couturier, Nelson (LW), Dvorak (LW)
LW: Panarin, Marchand, Tatar (RW), Schwartz, Rust (RW)
RW: Pastrnak, Radulov (LW), Smith, Duclair (LW)
D: Burns, Giordano, Chabot, Petry, Theodore, Suter, Weber, Werenski
    G: Bishop, Fleury, Rinne
    IR: Atkinson

I think I would just keep Eichel here. You're not coming close to that upside with Tkachuk, and although I really like Turcotte I don't think he's going to be close to that tier either. I'd want a lot more in return if I'm trading a young center with upside like Eichel.

I'd probably do this. Eichel is a fantastic young player but you seem to be in a win now situation. Doing this also would open up a keeper spot for you.

Assuming your current keepers (minus Eichel) were along the lines of Crosby, Bergeron, Seguin, Panarin, Aho, Forsberg, Barrie, Radulov, Dubnyk

    This trade becomes Eichel for Kopitar/Rinne/Doughty/Voracek + Tkachuk + #5 + #4 prospect + pick upgrades

That seems worth it to me. If you could then flip one of those borderline keepers with the #4 prospect for an upgrade, all the better

Any tiebreakers? What if I sent Eichel+Forsberg and got Keller back swapping Keller in for Forsberg as a keeper? In addition to the rest of the offer. I've been pretty high on Keller's upside.

I think you’d regret it. Eichel is elite, and to not get a top keeper in return isn’t good enough.

I'm not sure Keller is much of an upgrade on Forsberg, especially if you are in a position for top 3 and money this year.

I wouldn't move Eichel for that return either; I'd want something elite in return, especially if I was challenging for top three. Everything coming back is potential that you hope ends up as good as Eichel.

Yup, what you are looking for with the package coming back is to hopefully find a Eichel-type player. So why not keep an Eichel-type player in Eichel. Points only league, BTkachuk loses his value (he is going to be a multi-cat beast).
