    Default keeper selection help

    Hi guys,

Its time to name our keeper and I am not exactly sure who I should keep.
We keep 15 and dress 1 goaler, 12 forward and 6 defense weekly, point only.

    Here is my current list:

Evgeny Kuznetsov, Blake Wheeler, Dustin Byfuglien, Jaden Schwartz, Mark Scheifele, Nathan MacKinnon, Jack Eichel, Colton Parayko, Morgan Rielly, Jacob Trouba, Connor Hellebuyck, Teuvo Teravainen ,Nikolaj Ehlers, Sidney Crosby,
Duncan Keith, Gustav Nyquist, Joe Thornton, Dustin Brown, Justin Braun, Darnell Nurse, Andreas Athanasiou. Henrik Lundqvist, Mikkel Boedker, Connor Carrick, Tomas Tatar, Brent Seabrook

Here is who I was going to keep:

Forward: Evgeny Kuznetsov, Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, Nathan MacKinnon, Jack Eichel, Teuvo Teravainen ,Nikolaj Ehlers, Sidney Crosby, Jaden Schwartz, Gustav Nyquist
Defense: Dustin Byfuglien, Morgan Rielly, Jacob Trouba, Darnell Nurse
    Goal: Hellebuyck

    Anything you would do differently?

I am tryinbg to package some player to upgrade my top 15, or get extra picks, but havent been able to get a decent deal yet.

    Thanks!

I would keep Athanasiou and Parayko over Nyquist and Schwartz.

I agree with AA over Nyquist. I wouldn't deal him. I see a TT level - 60-ish pts breakout coming this season for him.

    Schwartz/Parayko - I lean Schwartz where it's points only and you're keeping 4D already

I dealt Tatar, Nyquist and Schawrtz doe early picks, so I should be good now. Thanks guys!

I also have Kapanen coming up from my farm, so that should help. Its much harder to find D in our pool.

I would've definitely kept Schwartz, but what's done is done I suppose. In that case I'm assuming you're keeping Athanasiou and Parayko? Not sure I'd expect more than 35 points from Parayko, and I think Schwartz was a good bet to pop off for 60+

I do like Athanasiou over Nyquist, that's definitely good.

Until I see Schwartz not injured, I would go with AA. I have been high on Schwartz but that has only led to frustration and disappointment.

I think it's pretty close, but if we're assuming both guys are healthy for the full season then I'd pick Schwartz by a hair. The thing is, it's totally justified to ding Schwartz for a few points since he's spent a lot of time on the shelf in recent seasons. Not to mention the fact that Athanasiou is on the rise, and should be featured more this season in Detroit. I just think Schwartz is am underrated option in points-only leagues.

I was also a fan of Schwartz tbh, but in our pool, it's hard to find a D over 20 points in the draft. Forward there should be a couple of option at 50-55.

If Schwartz does pop for 60+, I'll probably end up loosing, but the risk I take seems much lower this way.

If replacement level defenders really are 30+ points behind replacement level forwards, then you probably made the right decision.
