Well, I said that he 'looks like' a solid 'bet' to play a significant role. I obviously can't read the future and I agree, he could amount to nothing. But so far, his development looks strong.

My point is they received a pick, which teams often use as trade bait at the deadline. The fact it turned into Romanov isn't Bowman's fault. That's not the part of the deal that makes it a bad one from Bowman's POV. The bigger issue is pissing away multiple good assets for a 4th line forward.
