Goal-scorers, especially on the PP, are kings in my league. Marner was #10-ranked RW in my format last year. Marner's points per game comparables are guys like Tarasenko, Stone, Giroux, Wilson.

In a salary cap league, I would maaaaaybe do this. But without an onerous salary holding him back, I'm taking Marner all day every day and twice on sunday. Dude just had 94 points on the last year of his ELC, that's kinda good.

I agree with the others that this move would have to be under a lot of circumstances that aren't there like a salary cap league or your format has free agency and you'd be losing Marner soon. Even in a Multicat league I'd take Marner >>> over Hughes or Kakko.

Keep Marner. If he was 30 this might be a different story but he's only 22 and just getting rolling.
People fall into the trap of always chasing the new kids but that game never ends. There's always someone coming up who *might* be better. Then next year there might be another thread asking about trading Hughes for Lafreniere and the cycle goes on and on and on.
Your team is stacked already, keep it that way. Let a rebuilding team wait for Hughes to develop.

I think you want Kakko, due to the likelihood of him being goal heavy. You're looking to cash in a top 10 RW with top 5 upside for a top ?? W with even higher upside, you think.
Most of the time, I wouldn't advise to take this risk, but you've got enough depth to gamble here. go for it.
