    Default #5oa vs #8oa

    Points only league in sig.

Is there likely to be a big gap between #5oa and #8oa? I've been offered two 5th round picks for my 14/16th round picks to downgrade. Could probably push to a single 2nd or 3rd round pick or a 4th+5th. I am pretty starved for main draft picks at the moment with only my 1+2 before round 11 (of a 16 round draft). Granted I have non keepers to move as well to recoup picks so this downgrade isn't a necessity.
    11 teams, 10 keepers (1 D minimum) + 40 rookies <100gp (can move up/down to rookie roster up to 25gp), points only (1pt g/a, 2pt win, 3pt SO)
    4C/4LW/4RW/6D/2G + 6 bench

C: Seguin (RW), Bergeron, Aho, Couturier, Nelson (LW), Dvorak (LW)
LW: Panarin, Marchand, Tatar (RW), Schwartz, Rust (RW)
RW: Pastrnak, Radulov (LW), Smith, Duclair (LW)
D: Burns, Giordano, Chabot, Petry, Theodore, Suter, Weber, Werenski
    G: Bishop, Fleury, Rinne
    IR: Atkinson

Is this for only a rookie draft? If not then give us a sense of who would be available at those picks.

Provided that both Turcotte and Byram are off the board by pick 5 (which they should be), trading down seems like a good strategy. The difference between Zegras, Cozens, Krebs, Newhook, etc. isn't nearly as great as the difference between the top 2 or 3 and everyone else.

I would downgrade as well. I'm still wrapping my head around a 16 round rookie draft lol

Rookie only draft for the 5oa and 8oa. No hidden gems from previous drafts. The two 5ths offered for my 14/16 are main draft. 5th rounders being someone like Palmieri/Kreider/Zuccarello this past draft.
