With the info that it could be a lotto pick for next year's high quality draft, I would hold off.
12 Team H2H. G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, HIT, BLK
Daily lineups, 17 man active roster, 4 bench, and 10 farm spots. Draft is entry draft.
Seems like a no brainer at first, but I think Meier plus a couple more minutes ice time matches Seguin in scoring but with way more PIMs and a good amount more hits, maybe not quite the PPPs.
I'm a rebuilding team so my 1st next year could be a lottery pick, is that and another 1st worth Hedman and Kase? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
I'd hang on to Meier and the picks. Next year's draft is going to be really good and you don't want to miss out on the possibility of getting Lafreniere.

Would be easier if I could see your full line-up, but I'm not crazy about trading two non-protected lottery picks plus Meier. I'm assuming this is a dynasty?
If your league had Faceoffs won or SOG, I'd consider Seguin a much larger upgrade over Meier. As a rebuilding team, I would probably just keep your lottery pick for next year (which should be very valuable) and work to build your team from the ground up.
If you were gonna be going for the win in a short window, this trade would be a no-brainer. But it's pointless unless the rest of your roster is ready to go.

Oh crap, league does have SOG. Missed that cat. But again, Meier + ice time gets close to Seguin...
Cool, thanks for the feedback everybody, really appreciated. Repped across the board...
I also agree standing pat here. If you are not gonna compete right now, just as well as go full bore on prosepcts / picks to ramp up your future squad.

I would be looking to move Toews coming off a major offensive season. He's getting longer in the tooth, and doesn't really match up with the rest of your roster in terms of prime development. Now might be the last time you can get top dollar for a guy like that. I'd shop him around to the teams near the top of the league, looking for the last piece or two for a championship push.
