A few points to consider
Ed Snider's ghost needs to start haunting the Flyers brain trust. Can you imagine this kind of team suiting up for Broad Street under his watch ?
Then they hired AV. A coach who benches players for standing up for team mates.
Hayes is the perfect player for AV. He'll take defensive draws, kill penalties etc. The issue now is how does Philly envision his role that for what he is paid ? So glad NYR traded to him Winnipeg at the deadline.
What happens when a dirtbag opponent, cheapshots a flyer ? Lets watch and see. I hope I'm wrong, I really do.
I always respected the Flyers because they brought a high level of competition, played tough and sometimes crossed the line.
What have they become now ?
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

As of yesterday Hartman's mom was tweeting him trying to contact him as he still didn't know his career situation. His twitter still has him as "Philadelphia Flyer #38" in his description.
