Bubble, I can take one of the following.

Nylander, Theodore, Tolvanen, fiala, horvat, athanasiou, batheson, Boqvist.

The question I have is if I keep Nylander, assume his cap and hope he plays top six and puts up over 70. Or do I take a player like athanasiou or fiala, a mid range contract and be happy with 50 maaaaaaybe 60. Or take batheson, dirt cheap and could hit 40 ish. (I'd keep tolvanen but I think heÂ’s pretty buried.)

I have quite a few picks in rounds two and three, (none in the first.) so I could likely re draft nylnader. 6-9 million players are in abundance at the draft, so someone who fits the categories better could be there too. I typically like to money ball my roster, but with the bigger contracts in Toronto, is Nylander suddenly the most accessible option?

With only 9 teams I would think there are a LOT of bigger contracts available.
If you can redraft Horvat/Nylander or better, don't keep that cap. Go with Batherson and AA.

Thanks, definitely not keeping horvat. Almost thinking I keep
Batherson or maybe boqvist from my bench, and re draft AA. Maybe see what big contracts are left in the third round.

What are your thoughts on batherson and boqvist?

I mean I already recommended keeping Batherson, can't really say more than that. Boqvist has some great upside, but I don't even know if he plays in the NHL regularly the next two years, let alone putting up numbers.

I prefer Athanasiou over Batherson for this year, but if you can redraft him easily, then I'd keep Batherson and redraft him.
