Hertl for Backstrom
Hello!
Got offered his Hertl + 1st round pick (7th overall) for my Backstrom + 2nd round (15th overall).
At first I’m thinking no... but was wondering how you see the trade.
Hertl had almost 20% SH, that screams downward correction. Is Backstrom can still be considered PPG player?
How do you value Hertl and Backstrom over the next 2 years?

I'd keep Backstrom. The difference between the 7th overall and the 15th overall isn't enough for me to give up the better in points-only formats.

Even though this is a salary cap league, due to the relatively small size of the league (11), and inflated cap (91), I think that I would keep Backstrom here. The $2 million cap savings doesn't make as big of an impact here compared to if it were a 16 team league with an 83 M$ cap, for example. Additionally, with Karlsson now signed to a monster contract, that is going to have ripples throughout the rest of their lineup, so it is difficult to see Hertl having the qualify of line mates next year that he had this year.
