Depends on positional allocation.
In a 9F/4D league, I want Kakko.
In a 9F/6D league, I want Makar.

Hi Guys, new here an looking for some advice. I have the second overall pick heading into next season. Looking at my roster would you go with Kakko or Makar...presuming J. Hughes is taken with the first pick. Makar was only added to waivers late at the end of the season. Season was already over and the commissioner puts a halt to adding players once the fantasy season is over. Frustrating part was I had the first waiver priority. Was praying he would be added to waivers prior to season end but here we are. Scoring categories are: Goals, A, +/-, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG, HIT, W, GAA, SV, SV%, SHO.
10 Team All Keepers League
C -Tavares, Pettersson, Stamkos
LW - Panarin, Giroux, Bjorkstrand, Guentzel
RW - P. Kane, Marner, Tarasenko Kakko
D - Burns, Klingberg, Hronek, Q. Hughes, DeAngelo
G - Samsonov, Jarry, Shesterkin, Demko, Blackwood

Can you trade the pick for Vasilevskiy? You really need help in net but you're stacked for skaters.
If it was me, I would grab Kakko, but it's close.

I like the Idea Eskimo has you do need the most help in Goal but if not i think you grab Kakko but you probably wont be kicking yourself with either guy
You're right, I could move the pick but the Vasilevskiy owner would be thin in net where he has Binnington and Elliott. I dominated the skater stats but as you can see finished dead last in goaltending. My other goal is to try and get Igor Shestyorkin. Won't help this year but have to build the crease back up. I would like to try and make a pitch for Cart Hart. Owner currently has Price, Gibson and Lundy.

If you could get Hart that would be well worth moving the pick as set as you are in skaters

Five of thirteen categories being goalie categories means do anything you can to upgrade at goalie. Deals for goalies that would look silly in a vacuum would make sense in your league.
But to answer your question, Kakko to eventually surpass Pavelski at RW.
And as to Shestyorkin, remember that even highly-touted goalies sometimes don't hit they way you'd think. Six months ago Ville Husso's future claim on the Blues' net seemed pretty solid.
It is close but Makar for me.
10 Team Keeper League, 15 Keepers (max 2 goalies), 10 prospects, Start 2C, 2LW, 2RW, 3 Utility, 4D, 2G
Stats: G, A, P, +/-, PIMS, SOG, STP; W, SO, SV%, GAA
C: MacKinnon, Scheifele, Larkin, Pavelski (RW)
LW Panarin, Ehlers , Ovechkin, Verhaeghe (C), Beauvillier, Killorn
RW: Kucherov, Pastrnak, Wheeler, Mangiapane (LW)
D: Makar, Hughes, Krug; Pietrangelo, Schmidt, Andersson, Gostibehere
G: Vasilevskiy, Hellebuyck, Bobrovsky
Prospects: Sorokin (G), Askarov (G), Raymond (LW), Kaliyev (RW), Perfetti (RW), Norris (C), Kaprizov (LW), Hayton (C), Brannstrom (D), Boqvist (D), Clarke (D)
With your 6/4 F/D (plus a utility) ratio, I think I'd take Makar.
I'd also be very willing to look to move a G + D for a G upgrade.

Another vote for Makar.
