Top 5 players in Keeper .. Are Ovi and Sid still there??

Who do you guys have as the top 5 keepers in a points only league.
im wondering if Ovie or Sid would still hold a place in there??

That's an..."interesting" list. There is no way I have Auston Matthews in my top 10 let alone at #4. He's never had 75 points in an NHL season.

Here is my list if I am thinking about the next decade (which is way too long to be thinking for any fantasy league).

5. MacKinnon

I think McDavid, Kucherov and MacKinnon are the clear top 3. After that, I'll put Draisaitl and Barkov.

Even though it does not say it anywhere in the ranking description "the Top 300 Keeper League Skaters – June 2019" is (if what I think is correct) a points only player ranking for keeper leagues.

Crosby I'd slip into the 6-10 tier.

I love AM... but show me before I can include him in the top 10. he's got the upside... just needs 82 games to prove it.

Yes, I completely agree with this also. If I were in a dynasty league draft right now, my order would be: McDavid, Mackinnon, Kucherov...after that, my list changes almost daily, but right now it would be Draisaitl and Marner to round out my top 5. I really like Gaudreau, Rantanen, Point, and Pettersson also.

Pettersson hasn't done it yet, but in a dynasty league I think his upside is worth the wait. I actually value his upside more than Eichel and Matthews, who haven't completely put it all together yet also. They will eventually, so they probably deserve to be ranked quite high.

Barkov is a terrific player, and went on a crazy tear to finish the season, but he reminds me of Kopitar in the sense that he is so well-rounded that I don't see him consistently putting up numbers to be a top-5 fantasy forward.

Kane, Crosby, and Malkin are getting a little too old for me to really consider them as top 5 options in a dynasty draft. I know some don't think beyond 2-3 years, and for them those three players are still viable options, but I look beyond 2-3 years. I mean, the keeper in my sig has been running non-stop for 25 years!

I agree with others: McDavid, Mackinnon, Kucherov is a very solid top three.
I really like both Matthews & Eichel. Those are 4/5 for me, whether they've shown it in stats or not... talent level is there for 100+pts.

It does say "points only" right below the pic of Kucherov.

I'm on the same page as everyone with Kuch, McDavid and Mack being the consensus top 3 now.

As far as 4&5 go, there could definitely be 10-15 players names to be considered.
Guys like Matthews/Eichel/Pettersson have to be in consideration for dynasty leagues for sure but they haven't done it yet.
Gaudreau/Draisatl/Rantanen/Pastrnak also deserve consideration and are probably a nice solid mix of youth/potential.
Players such as Crosby/Kane/Marchand are starting to age out of this convo, but I couldn't blame you for taking any of them.

Personally, I'd probably be taking Eichel or Pastrnak myself because at this point because it really comes down to personal preference after the top 3.

As for Ovie, his points-only days of even being a top 10 consideration are gone. But I still take him top 5 in a multi-cat league

The proof is in the pudding. Crosby's last 2 years: 5th and 10th. Ovechkin's last 2 years: 15th and 11th. Plus they're getting older. They're not top 5 in a keeper.
