Let’s assume Trouba is leaving Winnipeg. Can I expect Morrissey to have an increase in PP usage?

Yes,

assuming all the rest stays the same. HOWEVER, Sami Niku could have more time if he stays with Winnipeg and become a dark horse. He did was voted as the AHL's top defenseman as well as earning AHL First All-Star team and the AHL All-Rookie honours..so i guess he has potential to be a future quarterback on the PP if given the chance.

plus Byfuglien getting older, Morrissey and Niku for sure can have a better year than last year.

Even though a trade *should* happen I wouldn't make too many assumptions until a trade actually happens. Columbus didn't trade away their guys in the final year of their deals.

Morrissey is a nice sleeper pick, even if Trouba isn't traded. That said, if Trouba is traded, his value increases significantly, imo.

He had a semi-breakout season last year, partially because Byfuglien was hurt so much. Trouba and Morrissey got a lot of extra PP time while Byfuglien was out, and Byfuglien is likely to miss time again next year.
