Polak is still solid in leagues cap leagues that count PIMS, HITS, BLKS. This contract should signal that he could play a similar role for the Stars that he did last season.

I know that, "it is easy to find HITS and BLKS (read:grit)" but finding those players who get the opportunity and role to play 18+ minutes per game without bouncing back and forth between the press box and the line up are not as plentiful as you would always like.

Great minute eater for that team. He played an avg of 19minutes/game this yr. Starts like 65% of his shifts in the D-zone, opens up offensive time for Heisk and Kling. Fits the team perfectly.

I actually liked him in Toronto and was kinda sad he ended up in Dallas.

It also hurts those still waiting on Julius Honka in deep leagues. More bodies competing for ice time...
