It has to be a tank. There’s no other explanation for this draft.

I wonder if Francis' boss has the hockey acumen to evaluate the team he just paid $650M for. I'm sure the Carsen Twarynski jerseys are flying off the shelf.

Very interested to see the rest of Seattle's offseason.

i believe ron francis overplayed his hand. it seems like he couldve gotten a bunch of 2nd rounders for contracts but he was sticking with asking for first rounders. he also definitely picked a few pending UFAs so that he'd just have the cap space instead

that being said, he still has 30m in cap room. thats like 4 star players and their full cap hits. ill reserve judgment until training camp.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

I am pretty sure that I enjoy hockey more than 99.9% of Seattle-area residents.
After watching the entire rollout of this franchise, I can report that this is a shitty mascot. I can also report that this team has crappy uniforms. Blue, really? How novel. Lot of work to be done there. I see very very few Kraken jerseys around town.
The product on the ice is what really disturbs me. This is a really bad group that has a ways to go to catch up with Buffalo. I think they totally blew this expansion draft, and as a result will be a team that struggles for the first 3-5 years.
Hopefully they dont blow it tonight because this team needs somebody who can score goals. I see them losing a shitload of 3-2 and 2-1 type games where Dreidger and the D perform but since Eberle didnt score they didnt win.
I will go to games when the Kings are in town, but thats it.

Thought I'd post a few photos from first day of Kraken camp:

I am not going to come out and say this team is going to perform like the Vegas Golden Knights did and may not for a few years, but I do know I have wanted hockey in my town for sometime and here it is so am I excited about it, hell yeah I am.

Grubauer gets the first shutout in Kraken history. Surprised it took 1/2 the season tbh.

Considering how badly they blew the expansion draft, I'm not surprised. Thought it might be Dreidger, honestly.

Crikey, how many players do they have left to fill out an NHL roster ?
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

Considering they screwed up the expansion draft badly enough to barely have a NHL roster in the first place, getting some long-time AHLers into the NHL would be a nice thing.
