Well, Seattle officially has a website an NHL.com.
    https://www.nhl.com/seattle
Team name is still sometime off from being revealed, but their colour-scheme may be hinted at from the top banner.
As of currently, June 6th 2019, I believe "Sockeyes" is considered the strong likely nickname.

salmon and teal is actually a really aesthetically pleasing combination. I'm definitely a fan of that color scheme.

I'd love if they went with "Metropolitans" to honor the hockey history of the city, but it doesn't sound like that's the plan.

I can't see that either... not with the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference

Great news. I just hope that won't be the nickname. Don't like it..especially that logo. It's like a skeleton of a fish

    I love the colour scheme!

I think they need to go a bit more aggressive with the logo though:

I can see that, but it's also very West Coast Aboriginal Art style too.
If you Google Aboriginal Sockeye Art - you'll see some immediate similarities between different pieces and this logo.

If it is an Aboriginal design (and I hope it is based on how similar it looks to others) then I'm all for this. It would be awesome to celebrate this part of the West Coast culture, which is so ingrained out here

You'd have to make sure that it's at the behest of the indigenous communities, the last thing you want is to be accused of cultural appropriation to make a buck. The NHL already has a reputation of being an old, white boys club.

It's very apparent it's influenced by Aboriginal art. It's unmistakable.
I agree... they better be involved or NHL would have a shitshow on their hands with this one.

The name is fine, but I don't care for the logo or colour scheme. Strikes me as one of those overly colourful, goofy logos that would get toned down in the future, similar to that of the Coyotes and the Panthers. Their original jerseys and logos were horrendous.

I did Google it and it's good to know. I can see it now from a different prespective. The West Coast Aboriginal Art style design that you are talking about would be cool. Now I'm all for this too, lucafen4

When can Seattle officially sign a player or two? Is it right after this draft? Or are we waiting for a final payment?
