    Default Value of Lindell

Looking to gauge the value of Lindell in the multicat salary keeper league in signature.

I am not liking his recently signed contract in my cap league. He is a multicat contributor with Hits/Blocks and might get 30-35 points and approximately 10PPP. But is that worth the cap hit? I think we might have seen his ceiling already with the like of Klingberg/Heiskanen in the way of his progression/path further. Opinions of his cap hit to value ratio?

Also, what kind of trade value would he garner? Any suggested "cheaper" target replacements and/or prospects?

Chychrun is the guy I would target that's in the same range, but cheeper. I wouldn't want Lindell on my cap team at that price.

What about Mcavoy? I know he is an RFA and unsigned? Think he gets less/more than Lindell?

I think you have perfectly assessed Lindell and his situation. Decent multi-cat contributor with 30-35 pt ceiling.

Whether or not that is good value in your particular league and whether or not he has much trade value is hard to say, but at $5.8 million, there are probably quite a few cheaper options out there. If I were you, I'd probably try moving him and be happy with whatever return I get for him.

He is a very safe option to consistently produce what he did this past season, but I don't ever see him exploding offensively to over 45+ pts.

I'd say he gets as much or more than Lindell, but he definitely has more fantasy appeal.

McAvoy is a guy I could eventually see explode offensively. He is such a phenomenal skater and quite an aggressive player. I'd certainly want him over Lindell.

I mean, he scored 28 pts this past season in only 54 games. Pro-rated that is about a 42 pt pace over 82 games. And McAvoy is still only 21 years old, so he isn't even close to his prime yet.

Look at his pro-rated stats over his first two years. He has multi-cat superstar potential. And as mentioned there's still so much room to grow. Injuries are the only concern with him.

I wouldn't want Lindell in a cap league either but I guess it depends on your cap ceiling setup. The leagues I am in uses the same cap ceiling as the NHL does so his value drops significantly.

As far as McAvoy goes, I expect him to sign for a bigger number than this.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

McAvoy I'm not as high on as everyone else. He has Krug blocking him, only one top line in Boston to play with (again Krug steals it), and he has a very low shot total too that is a red flag for me. I get the love, but temper it a bit. He's not turning into Hedman or Doughty.

McAvoy is about to get Paid. 6m or more is my guess.
I'm with EB... unless McAvoy starts shooting the puck, I don't want to own him... his SOG/GM is like 1.15 over the last two seasons. I mean, Gardiner/Suter are light shooters, but they're over 1.5 per game at least.
I can't see him hitting 50pts until he gets that shot rate up to 1.4 at least.. 88-100 sog over 82gp is awful for an offensive Dman.

    I'd rather own Parayko

Or pay good money for 3-4 offensive Dmen with mid level periphs and grab someone like Hagg, Schenn, Cernak or McNabb for cheap periph stuffs

Doesn't help me with Lindell, but in discussion with Chychrun owner, I was offered this:

    MY Sikura for HIS Chychrun.

Gets me a dman and then can try to trade Lindell for anything

I like it. Sikura doesn't have a lot of upside in my eyes.

Only negative is Chychrun contract kicks in at 4.6m. But if he produces in multicat, might be a deal

You wanted a comparable to Lindell, that's why I brought up Chychrun as he's about 80% of the cost. If you want cheaper, then let us know what your parameters are.

I like the comparison. I would not have thought of it. And once I looked into it I like it. Much appreciated and thanks for the feedback
