In your format, it's pretty even, right down to the points per game. This would open a bit of a hole at RW, but I think you could manage that, and Pettersson will eventually move to C, so that opens a LW spot up.
League in sig.
I was just offered M. Tkachuk for M. Marner.
Neat offer given they played together in Jrs.
But this is the NHL.
Marner is great but the contract thing might be a saga I dont feel like staying with to the end.
Tkachuk is a beast in multi-cat and CGY plays a lot of off nights which is great in H2H.
Who ya Got? Points were basically even at 6.3 ppg for each player, just derived from different stats.
REP for your considered opinion.

I think the opinion is going to be split on this one. Both are good young players that offer excellent, but different, scoring stats. Looking at the sheer cornucopia of awesomeness on your team (your squad is just stacked! LOL), I think I would be inclined to take Tkachuk. It looks like you have the scoring stats covered. Tkachuk, while still scoring, will hit the gritty stats that guys like (insert most of your team) don't get.
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
Points are harder to come across than peripherals are. I’d hold Marner here.
Agree with DusterDave, but I'd say more than just based on scarcity of stats. Despite being a grittier player, Thachuk doesn't really rack up a ton of hits... so his main advantage is PIM.
Plus with Marner playnig PK, that's extra gravy (usually wouldn't base my decision on such a volatile cat). Feel like you can make up the ~Hit/game without giving up Marner.
Marner's value is mostly tied up in assists, no? His other numbers are relatively harmless. What happens if he is on another team next year? Numbers up or down?
I’d take Marner here.. he still has more to give where I think Tkachuk may have had a career year points wise

I'd trade the 8 extra goals for 25 assists. Plus I think Marner may actually shoot more than MT.

OK, lets turn it 90 degrees. Now I ask: Marner or Brady Tkachuk?
Brady will become a special player. One that will be a multi-cat stud (think Byfuglien/Evander Kane/josh anderson type of guys) where you get PIM + Hits + SOG and 50-55 points.
Now if he can surpass that Points game and become a 60-70points player, Brady Tkachuk WILL become a top 5-10 pick in multi-cat leagues.
I think he will be a special type of elite player fantasy-wise and will be keeping him in my partial keep 6, even though he may not become the beast in the next year. I am too afraid to lose him in redraft.
But if i had to choose between Brady Tkachuk or Marner, i would still take marner right now. Keep Brady Tkachuk over some other guys yes, but not marner.

Brady only has one season under his belt so I’d still consider him somewhat of a prospect. I’d need a real nice piece added to even consider moving Marner for him.
