Dynasty - Benn + Giodano vs Marner +

Have the offer on the table of Benn + Giodano for Marner and Rasmus Kupari. I'm looking to compete next season after a disappointing finish in the semi-finals last season. If Benn returns to normal and Giodano puts up at least 55+ points again, I think I win this trade for the next year or two. if they don't though I give up one of the league's best forwards who is under 23 for two older depth players. I’d be mashing accept in that format. Gio is a big boom in blks as well as all the pt cats. Without knowing more about your format like if it has contracts, cap, etc... this is such an overwhelming yes in fantasy hockey.

If you are looking to just compete I'd stick with Marner. If you are looking to win it all and you actually have a legit chance to win then Benn and Gio it is.
Anyway you can give up a less skilled prospect outside of Kupari?

I guess you win in the short term, but I'm a bit surprised that Marner can't fetch you more than the aging Giordano (who, btw, probably just had his career year and is not likely to repeat, imo) and the slumping Benn (who may or may not rebound).

If I were giving up Marner, I'd want something a little better in return.

That said, a two years ago I dealt Marner for Forsberg and Byfuglien and ended up winning the title because of it. I don't have huge regrets (obviously after winning), but I do wish I had Marner on my roster right now. With him, I might not have won that first year, but I'd be a perennial contender now if I had him on my roster instead of Forsberg (I traded Byfuglien a while back). I mean, Marner has legit 100 pt potential, and there aren't many players like that in the NHL. If I had Kucherov, Point, and Marner, I'd be unstoppable in my league. I know our leagues are different, but in all leagues you have to weigh short and long-term goals.

Thanks for the advice, ended up making the trade with McIsaac instead of Kupari
