    Default Zibanejad vs Mantha

    Hi everyone,
in a keeper league, point only, 11 GM with a total of 3C, 4W and 3D counting who do you prefer?

I'm rebuilding and I'm wondering if it's a good time to sell high on Ziba and buy low on Mantha before he it stardom. I have need at center and with winger, so position does not matter.

I'm trying to evaluate the gap between the two. I should be able to had something with Mantha, so if they look to be almost equal in 2-3 years it might be good for me.

    What do you think?

I think I prefer Zib, but if there was the right plus on Mantha, I could definitely see it making sense. What options are there?

I don't think you'd be selling too high on Zib, he's a legit 70pt player and the Rangers have some help coming up through the ranks. Could be adding Kakko thus summer too.

Mantha *could* be a 70pt player, maybe even as soon as this season (I do like him a lot moving forward) but as of right now he hasn't come close to that number. Like EB said above try to get a decent plus thrown in if you insist on making the trade.

I'd prefer zibs period in a pts only. the only bonus would be mantha's position vs. zibs.

In MC.. I'd be looking harder at this deal

Tough call in a points only format for me. If you need help at both, I'd probably just hold Zibanejad.

As a Swede I like Zib but tbh I’d choose Mantha over Zib.

Interested to know what the plus to Mantha would be. But I’d likely be holding onto Zibanejad.

I prefer zibanajed by a good margin. I think zibbys a legit 70 point guy going forward and that's without Kaapo Kakko in 2 - 3 years on his wing, which I think is likely.

Zibby is also the absolute primary offensive weapon and no 1 center in new York. 20+ min per game. Mantha is going to be more dependent on deployment and line mates.

The only way it makes sense to me is if you're getting a sizeable plus coming your way AND that it makes sense positionally for your team (no roster provided). Like you have 3 other 70+ point centers but are much weaker on the wing.

    C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund

    Defense:

I like Mantha as a sleeper pick next season, but Zibanejad has solidified himself as the top option on the Rangers, so I feel his is more of a sure-thing. I don't think that I have the courage to take Mantha over him, even though I think there's a good chance Mantha does quite well next year also.

Long-term, though, I might want to go with Mantha, especially if you can get a little something extra added to get him for Zibanejad (which is what I think you are saying in your OP).
