Just read about that, ooff. But to be honest, I really don't think Bruin's players need or get any motivation from a mistaken newspaper blunder. Had that not happened, I don't think Boston would have lost the last game...

I can't believe they would do that. Some one from Boston must have.

really not happy with the Backes scratch for game 7 , i mean coach knows what's best for the team and granted, Kuhlman looked good and that goal he scored was a nice shot but i don't know....this just has a bad feel to it.

Definitely feels like a game Backes would have had fate on his side to win the game for the Bruins.

He must be really bad at hockey if he's sitting out this game despite obvious motivation

I hate seeing Backes sitting out tonight as he’s been a personal favourite of mine since his days in St Louis. Plus he wears 42!

I was so stoked when Boston signed and he hasn’t been awful but he hasn’t been worth the big contract either. Gotta think this means he’s headed for a buy-out this offseason.

I’d love to see him draw in but there’s really no one you can justify taking out. The fourth liners have been carrying the Bruins through much of these playoffs and Kuhlman has been really solid. It’s sad they can’t make room for him, but I trust Cassidy’s decision.

Bortuzzo out, Edmundson in. Blues going with four lefties on D. Sounds like they plan on giving Parayko and AP a lot of minutes tonight.

    Also, Barbashev in, Thomas out.

Edmundson is either going to be the hero tonight or St. Louis' Jake Gardiner.

I so badly want to see Coyle score the game winning goal tonight! Can you imagine what kind of dream come true that would be? Playing for your hometown team in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final and scoring the Cup clinching goal. What a story that would be!

    1st period impressions:

Rock solid. Binnington keeping the Blues in it. Some amazing saves

The 2nd blues goal- Marchand was covering Pieterangelo, then.....decided to change.... which led to a goal 4 seconds later. That dumb rat is gonna get an earful from the Bruins coach during the intermission XD.

    Rask not looking the sharpest.

Blues were badly outplayed and they're up 2-0. Typical playoff hockey.
