    Default Boldy or Krebs

Hey all! I posted in the NA goalies about Spencer Knight and I've been convinced to not take him at 13. I've got the chance to move up to 11 (giving up a late pick and my 13). It's currently at pick 10 right now and Boldy/Krebs are still the best available (also the position I need most for the future)

Who would you take? Team/League in sig. They'll be going right to minors as my team is pretty full this season. Been reading a lot about them both but I just can't make up my mind, it seems like Krebs COULD be the better player but it's hard to tell as he's been on the weak side. I think either way it'll be a good pick.

I guess I'm rusty on my prospects lol. I thought they were some sort of shorthand nicknames or something and the names went completely over my head. Give me a pass on this one, I'm 12 hours into a night shift and my mental faculties are a little shaky haha

On a side note they sound like they would make a great cop duo from the 70s or 80s though. Starsky & Hutch, Turner & Hooch, Boldy & Krebs lol

Anyway carry on, sorry I wasn't even remotely helpful :P

I'd prefer Krebs, think he's more dynamic, but it's not like Boldy slacks much behind. Not sure if positions matter, but if they do, maybe go Boldy. LWs are hard to come by. Krebs is a natural centre but has played some wing and may do so again (hard to say at this point).

This settled it for me! I didn't realize Krebs was a centre by trade haha... really looking for a winger.
    Boldy it is!

Also, to the 12 hour shift guy - lol

Boldy would have been my choice, but at this point in your draft, most of these kids are very similar in potential and upside. It's more of a personal choice than one based of facts that can be stated or compared.

I like Krebs a touch over Boldy, but as people have said, it's close and just down to personal preference. I would be tempted to just keep your pick at 13 though and wait to see who falls. Personally I think there's a tier gap between 13 and 14.

i never understood why some fantasy drafts take place before the actual NHL draft...i agree he would look good in vancouver and have chance to play sooner than later....

it was voted on, people liked the idea of having to really scout positions and players as well as think ahead to possible destinations and have backups if they fall through.

People didn't want to get in the habit of just following the NHL order I guess, I was impartial, either way was good for me.

Thanks for everyones help, I took Boldy!

I think, once you get past the first two automatics, it's a complete scramble from there. Different "experts" have different players ranked all over the place.

I too was in a league that did it's draft prior to the actual NHL draft. Sometimes you come out looking like an idiot for taking some guys too high or too low, and sometimes you come out looking like a genius for having foresight enough to pick some guys where you did. I didn't mind it. As you say, it makes you do your own research more than just relying on where the NHL scouts think these kids should go.

    Enjoy!

It seemed to be true for a long while that #3 was all over the place, but lately, Turcotte seems to be the clear cut #3.
