    I...am your father.

Default Contest (for fun) - Landing Spots of UFA Goaltenders

Per my Ramblings Saturday - https://dobberhockey.com/hockey-ramb...d-more-may-18/

Here are my picks. Just the picks, no explanation. No caveats. Just...boom. Let's laugh at these together in two months:

    Sergei Bobrovsky – Florida

    Robin Lehner – Calgary

    Semyon Varlamov – Columbus

    Mike Smith – Carolina

    Petr Mrazek – Carolina

    Calvin Pickard – Toronto

    Curtis McElhinney – Edmonton

    Cam Talbot – NY Islanders

    Brian Elliott – Ottawa

    Cam Ward – Colorado

    David Rittich – Calgary

*I originally had Lehner going to Detroit, but after further thought at how Howard/Bernier are signed for this year, I changed it. No more changes allowed for me - and no changes allowed for you!

Sweet, glad you made a thread for this!

I'm going to make a few changes from my earlier post, but I'm surprised how many people I've seen recently think Cam Talbot goes to Toronto. No cap space and he hasn't exactly been productive in a limited role lately.

    Sergei Bobrovsky – Florida

    Robin Lehner – Edmonton

    Semyon Varlamov – Columbus

Mike Smith – New York Islanders

    Petr Mrazek – Carolina

    Calvin Pickard – Calgary

    Curtis McElhinney – Philly

    Cam Talbot – Ottawa

    Brian Elliott – Carolina

Cam Ward – no NHL gig

    David Rittich – Calgary

    Semyon Varlamov – KHL

Calvin Pickard – Austria (throw another shrimp on the barbie!)
    Curtis McElhinney – Carolina
    Cam Talbot – Anaheim
    Brian Elliott – Chicago
    Cam Ward – Vegas
    David Rittich – Calgary

Can't say I feel a lot of movement this year.
I few back-ups. Isles will pay Lehner, IMO.
Canes will give Mrazek maybe 3x$5m & McE 2x$4m.

I like the Varly idea x 3 year contract for the Isles if the plan is to help him start mentoring Sorokin in 2020-21 and for 1 additional season 21-22 ;but share crease with Greiss in 19-20 .

I know they went on a fishing trip together in colorado during the offseason so theres probably a friendship + some mutual admiration.

uncle lou's closing season interview stated he'd like to have lehner back so I guess we'll see .

    Bumping this thread.
Kudos to stevegamer who speculated on Varlamov to Islanders.
I think that was the only location switch anybody got right.

My list was a complete FAIL! Yeesh.

I am glad I got the Talbot/Elliot thing backwards as a Flyers fan. I figured Fletcher would screw that up.
