Should i trade Winnington for 2 mid range first round picks in the upcoming prospect draft? Picks will most likely be between 5 and 10. My other goalies are bobrovsky, saros and lehner.

    Appreciate any feedback

If that is the best deal you can get, yes. Sell high. You picked him up as a free agent- right. Odds are, he's not the real deal or at least not as good as he's played this season. With the group of players in the 3-11 range in the draft, you will be able to get a couple stud forwards or Byram and a forward.

    Wow. Hate to totally disagree. Count 20 goalies in the last 50 years that actually won Vezina and stood on their head afterwards, and had decent stats on their first 30+ g season, but only 3 with under 2.0 0 GAA stats ... using Vezina trophy winners stats of 1st year above 30 g+ as a standard I get the following;

    Binnington 32 g 0.927 1.89

    1972 Dryden 64 g 0.930 2.24
    1980 Edwards 72 g 0.906 2.64
    1982 Fuhr 480.898 3.31
    1984 Barasso 42 g 0.893 2.85
    1985 Vanbiesbrouck 42 g 0.879 4.21
    1986 Roy 47 g 0.875 3.36
    1987 Hextall 66g 0.902 3.01
    1991 Belfour 74g 0.910 2.47
    1994 Hasek 58g 0.930 1.95
    1994 Brodeur 47g 0.915 2.40
    2000 Theodore 30 g 0.919 2.10
    2004 Kiprusoff 38g 0.933 1.69
    2006 Thomas 38 g 0.917 2.77
    2006 Lundqvist 53 g 0.922 2.24
    2006 Miller 48 g 0.914 2.26
    2008 Price 41 g 0.920 2.56
    2010 Rask 45 g 0.931 1.97
    2009 Rinne 52 g 0.917 2.38
    2011 Bobrovsky 54 g 0.915 2.59
    2013 Holtby 36 g 0.920 2.58

Pretty good company. I would say a full keeper. Sell high.

Funny thing, i do have a similar offer for him, albeit there is an additional winger included in Buchnevich. I am having a hard time to decide. My other goalies are Andersen, Gibson and also Saros.

OP is too vague; we don't know anything about the size of the league so it's not sensible to try to speculate on the value of Binnington.

I'd trade him for two picks between 5th and 10th overall, you have quality goalies on your team already.

Please tell me this is the league in your sig.

I think you have enough goalie depth to move him, but I'd much prefer to land young players over picks if you can swing that.

I’d trade one of Binnington or Lehner, which ever goalie gets you the better return. You have the goaltending depth to do so but don’t just take the first offer you receive. Shop them around.
